“Little known local tip: Rabbit Hole Pie company partners with Hub Coffee Roasters to provide craft quiche and pies to pair with the incredible, often directly sourced coffee. Pre order a quiche or pie for your stay! https://www.facebook.com/rabbitholepie/”
“This is Cathys favorite go to. The fairy lit garden seating in the warmer months is amazing. In the winter it has a cozy vintage vibe. Full bar Fabulous food Super breakfast with killer bloody marys.”
“GREAT vegan and GF menu - and just good foods. Local farm foods, salads. Very pleasant, casual environment. Lots of tables but they do have a wait at lunch/dinner prime times. Gino the Soup Man owns the place and makes all 18 types from his, or old family recipes. Sold also at Great Basin Co-Op on Flint near Wingfield Park, and at Whole Foods Market (So. Virginia at Del Monte).”
“From Italian Cappuccinos to Davidson's Speciality Organic Teas (Mery is an ambassador for the company) to home baked pastries. This is our favorite coffee shop. This place is always busy, but they offer top notch quality baked goods and drinks. It's a 8-10 minute walk from our house. Our favorites are the Tahoe Sunrise Tea, Cappuccino, Gelato, Avocado Toast, Quinoa Bowl...and any baked good.”
“It's the closest shopping mall but not a good idea to go over the mountain during winter season. Treacherous conditions. Best to go during the summer. It's also an outdoor mall.”
“Idlewild Park is a local park which runs along the Truckee River. There are playgrounds, a ball park, skate park and pools. Many events are hosted here throughout the year including Earth Day and Food Truck Fridays (Memorial Day through Labor Day). ”
