“Perched on the top of a hill in Air Itam is Kek Lok Si, a stunning must see while visiting Penang. With its golden pagodas glinting in the sun and rows upon rows of Buddha statues, the Chinese temple is bound to wow fans of religious architecture and design. ”

Amusement Park
“Escape Theme Park Penang, what you’ll find here instead is a 2-in-1 waterpark and adventure course that’s sure to get your blood pumping. Escape Theme Park is a 45-minute drive from the hive of activity in Georgetown, completely surrounded by nature. There are 2 zones in the theme park - an Adventure Play area for aspiring Tarzans and a Waterpark, if you’d rather be like Ariel. Here are some of the highlights from our visit that you should definitely check out. The Adventure Play zone, Tubby Racer, Kite Flyer. Banana Flip, Family Twister, Speed Racer are among that you shouldn't missed”

Buddhist Temple
“Build in 1850, is perhaps the only temple of its kind in the world. The temple is filled with the smoke of burning incense and a variety of pit vipers. The vipers are believed to be rendered harmless by the sacred smoke, but as a safety precaution, the snakes have also been de-venomed but still have their fangs intact. Only can visit on day time. Yes, you shall make a visit to Temple!”

“Batu Ferringhi Night Market tops our list of best places for night time action. What makes it a great shopping option is the fact that travellers staying along the Batu Ferringhi stretch do not have to travel all the way into Georgetown for their retail fix. The only downside is that you could purchase select items (like batik-print clothes) at slightly better prices in town: our advice – bargain hard! If you like something, do not buy it at the first stall you see - have a look around, and then return only if you cannot find a better price elsewhere.”

“Only 2 minutes away from our home, this is THE ONLY PLACE in Penang where you can find an abundance of AUTHENTIC- CHEAP Indian street food! Name it, you get can them all there! The best place to hunt for food if you are a Vegan or Vegetarian. My personal favourite food is the chappati and its curry! The stalls begin as early as 10 am, and closes by around 9.30 pm. It is VIBRANT, LIVELY, COLOURFUL and definitely rich in cultural activities. Visit Little India if you stay at our place! ”

“This is a very active place in the morning from 8am - 12 noon and again in the evening. Wet market by day hawker food by night. This area is full of food. Many organic shops in this area as well as local restaurants including a new Vegan restaurant are found along Jalan Moulmein. You can find a full grocery store across the street on Cantonment.”

Point of Interest
“Built in 1897 with the funds from a generous benefactor, Cheah Chen Eok, this commanding sight was built to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. It is 60-feet high to match the number of years of Her Majesty’s reign and leading up to the clock tower are six steps to match the number of decades Her Majesty reigned for.”
