“n 2006, the LVMH Group and its companies opened a new chapter in their history of patronage with the creation of the Fondation Louis Vuitton. The building itself was inaugurated on 24 October 2014, the result of nearly 25 years of commitment to the arts, culture and heritage. In 2001, Bernard Arnault, President of the LVMH Group, met Frank Gehry, the 1989 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Arnault asked Gehry to design a great glass vessel dedicated to culture in the Bois de Boulogne on the outskirts of Paris. Five years later, an occupation agreement of 55 years was signed with the City of Paris, and work on the building could get underway. Sited at the heart of Greater Paris, on the boundary between the cities of Paris and Neuilly-sur-Seine, this edifice has become an icon in the French and international cultural landscape. Every year, it welcomes more than a million visitors from all over the world. Driven by its mission to serve the public, the Fondation is committed to making art and culture accessible to all. To promote the arts both nationally and internationally, it hosts temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art, presents works held in its collection, commissions artists to create site-specific pieces, and stages events across the cultural spectrum (concerts, performances, conferences, film projections, dance and more).”

“If you go to the Eiffel Tower you should avoid the elevators (where will have to wait at least one hour) and take the stairs. It is far easier that it seems until the second floor (the third being quite high). Morevoer climbing inside the tower make feel being in the heart of the structure and let you take time to see”

“Built after the Franco-German war of 1870, the Sacré-Coeur basilica was to be dedicated to the Heart of the Christ. Indeed, it was supposed to expiate the sins committed by the French people during the war. Located at the top of the Montmartre Hill, the Sacré-Coeur is the second most visited religious monument, right behind the Notre-Dame cathedral. Not only is the inside absolutely stunning, with its white stones and the painting of the Christ inside the Heart, but the view from the top of Montmartre is breathtaking! The Sacré-Coeur basilica is open every day with no exceptions, from 6 am to 10:30 pm and the entrance is free. Access: Metro Anvers (line 2) or Abbesses (line 12) then take t”
