“Mile-long beach near Downtown with wetlands, a boardwalk, hiking trails, picnic areas & concessions. The park and beach area are very nice. The water is clear and cold. This is a historic beach that has been cleaned up nicely. There are several markers highlighting it's history including an old Merry-go-round which still works. Great place to relax and escape. It has a cool sand bar if you just want to lay in the water and relax.”

“The park is free and offers many attractions. There are large grass areas and plenty of mature trees. There are ball fields, tennis courts, a boat ramp, fishing areas, playgrounds for both tots and slightly older kids, kayak/paddle board rentals, picnic areas, benches, restroom facilities, and lots of space to walk, run, or relax.”

“This modest park with a mural is a popular gathering place for domino & chess players. Fun to take a walk through and observe if you're not a local. While you're there, stop at one of the nice cafés nearby for a delicious Cuban coffee”

“Recreation center with baseball fields, basketball & tennis courts, a playground & an outdoor pool. It has plenty things to do. Many different sports and gym for working out. A big clean playground. Swimming pool is very clean, and people are very kind and helpful. Probably one of the best parks in Miami! Besides the typical swings and slides, they also offer lessons in karate, swimming, and soccer. They also have exercise classes.”

“Located on Calle Ocho, Cuban Memorial Boulevard pays homage to Cuban soldiers who fought in the 1961 Bay of Pigs Invasion and the Cuban War of Independence. You’ll find a string of seven small monuments scattered throughout this stretch of road, including those honoring Cuban independence fighter Antonio Maceo Grajales and anti-communist crusader Tony Izquierdo. Additionally, check out the statues of the Virgin Mary and a 16-foot raised map of the island of Cuba with an inscription by patriot José Martí that reads, "La patria es agonia y deber,” which ttranslates to “The homeland is agony and duty."”
