We will start by tasting mouthwatering tacos in one of our favorites taquerias, then we will go have some beer and great mezcal. While we wash down the tacos, we will introduce you to the history and nuances of lucha libre—professional Mexican wrestling. We'll then head to the arena for a fantastic night of lucha libre! We will meet at the "Angel de Independencia" between early morning to escape the city chaos. Our group will have private comfortable transportation. We will stop for an early breakfast in Actopan, a city halfway to our destination. The day is divided into three parts. Pool Tranquility: Start your day relaxing a while in the “pocitos”; naturally warm thermal pools that provide astounding views that soothe & clear the body and mind –perfect for “the gram.” River Relaxation: Next, the turquoise-colored river is well-managed and is naturally warm due to the thermal springs, a complete relaxing experience. Lunch will be alongside the river (weather permitting). Cave Exploration: Finally, you will see awe-inspiring waterfalls and unexpected adventure that our guests have described as “life changing.” We will head out by 5:30PM arriving between 9-10:00PM, full of new experiences and photos to share with envious family/friends. Injuries, while rare, may occur during an outdoor exploration. This experience includes water, creating slippery walking surfaces near the pools and river. There is a bonus cave (optional) with low clearance –be aware of height to reduce risk of head injury. There is inherent risk with any outdoor activity. Recorre el Bosque de Chapultepec caminando y en bicicleta, para conocer uno de los parques más grandes del mundo y aprender la historia y cultura de este maravilloso lugar. Cuentas con la ayuda de un local que comparte su conocimiento por su país con muchos visitantes, y con una bicicleta para aligerar el esfuerzo. Nuestro punto de reunión será en la calle Campos Elíseos, donde te entregaré una bici urbana mecánica (no usamos bicicletas eléctricas) con casco, iluminación y chaleco reflector que tendrás a tu servicio todo el día. Te familiarizarás con la bici en un recorrido inicial seguro por el camellón o banqueta central de Paseo de la Reforma, entraremos al Parque y conduciremos directo hasta el Castillo de Chapultepec. Subiremos caminando al Castillo para recorrerlo completamente a tu ritmo, enseñándote los interiores y contemplando los murales y obras del Museo Nacional de Historia. Seguiremos rodando para recorrer el Bosque y el Zoológico y de allí partiremos a Los Pinos, a caminar por la casa presidencial. Rodaremos de nuevo para tomar un lunch en Casa Tlalli en la que te invitaré una comida y bebida completa. Seguiremos por las nuevas Calzadas Flotantes Chivatito y Los Pinos a contemplar el paisaje de esta zona de la CDMX, y recorreremos la segunda sección para visitar el Centro de Cultura Ambiental. Finalmente rodaremos de regreso a el punto de reunión.

We will discover the flavors and history of Mexican cuisine through learning about ingredients and how to make rich salsas. If you have little to no experience in cooking, don't worry. With some insider tips from the chef, you will be surprised how accessible and simple Mexican street food can be to prepare! By cooking different types of foods from different regions of the country you will get a better understanding of the uniqueness, and strong relation whit corn Mexican food have. Every dish we prepare can be be vegetarian or vegan, just let us know! In the process you also discover how easy will be to recreate this dishes back home. On the menu is: 3 times of sala Tortillas of deferents tipes tlacoyos gorditas After cooking we will sit at the table to enjoy the food that we made together, in the Mexican tradition of sharing. You'll have the option of either Mexican craft beer or mezcal to accompany the meal. Non-alcoholic options will also be available. Xochimilco ha sido declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, por su riqueza histórica y cultural. Nuestro recorrido está enfocado de manera respetuosa con la comunidad y el medio ambiente es decir es: cultural, histórico y ecológico, este no es un tour de barcos de fiesta. VEREMOS: La Catedral, construida en el siglo XVI. Después visitaremos el mercado principal donde verán piñatas y diversos productos, frutas y verduras. Después visitaremos una pulquería típica donde probaremos "pulque" una bebida milenaria, prehispánica, con 4 grados de alcohol, elaborada con la sabia fermentada de una planta de agave, si no bebes alcohol no te preocupes tenemos opciones sin alcohol. Finalizaremos con un relajante paseo de 1.5 horas en bote "trajinera", iremos por unos canales ecológicos bellos y tranquilos, durante el paseo podrán apreciar la fauna: patos, garzas y ajolotes. Con nuestro amigo Mario aprenderemos sobre agricultura y construcción de las islas flotantes "chinampas" que se siguen usando para el cultivo de flores, verduras y árboles. Bajaremos a conocer una chinampa en donde está la réplica de la isla de las muñecas para escuchar las leyendas sobre fantasmas que hay en Xochimilco. Tendremos un delicioso lunch de quesadillas en el lago donde tenemos opciones con carne veganas y vegetarianas que te van a encantar! Finalizaremos con más sorpresas divertidas!

During this experience, you will learn to cook the famous "tacos al pastor" with my dad, a professional instructor and culinary artist, who will share his tips and recipes with you. We'll meet at the local market to buy ingredients and learn more about Mexican spices and food. Then we'll return to my family home, where you will learn how to marinate the meat for the tacos. You will prepare red salsa, green salsa, and guacamole, and make your own tortillas on the traditional Mexican "Comal"—a smooth, flat griddle. At the end, we'll put everything together to make the tacos, sit and enjoy what you have prepared, and learn a little more about Mexican gastronomy. Other things to note We will send later, the recipes through email. You can take the class in English, Spanish, or French. We can also offer a chicken and a vegetarian version.

1) We'll meet up in a convenient location for you in the Roma/Condesa/Juarez area. 2) Taco dinner nearby: I recommend this BEFORE we go to the Arena (but if you'd rather after, that's possible)! I'll take you to a popular taco spot and we'll have a bite & drink together. 3) We'll then head to Arena México and have time to see the masks. I'll help you bargain for one if you like, and I'll start to explain the basics of Lucha Libre so you know what we're about to see and do. 4) We'll head in and watch the show together! Please note not all tours offered on this site actually go in with you but I do and comment throughout so you can appreciate what's going on! I'll also teach you the right chants so you can really get in on the action! 5) Optional Fridays: If you're up for it, I invite you to add on a bonus activity (no extra cost!) which is going to Patrick Miller nightclub afterwards. This is a unique Mexico City gem! It involves high-energy music (similar to 80s style) and dancing in a really special scene. I'll explain and guide you so you can get the most out of seeing the amazing dance circles, hard core "Patricio" fans and if you're brave enough, even join in the dancing! Other things to note Lucha libre is more a show than fighting so don't worry about it being too violent. In fact, this experience is very family friendly! If you prefer a partying vibe, I recommend Patrick Miller after!

We will start off the day in an organic Tortilleria and watch the whole process of making tortillas from scratch, learn about the story of the nixtamalization process, and how deeply maiz is embedded in the Mexican culture. We will continue on a walking tour through the charming Condesa and Roma neighborhoods, discover and taste a wide variety of authentic regional tacos from across Mexico, and learn about their history. We will also explore a local market where you will learn about some of the staple ingredients used in Mexican cuisine. There is no better way to wash down tacos with a delicious agua fresca or a cold beer. We will finish with amazing Mexican coffee and artisanal chocolate. Other things to note: The tour is very dynamic, we can mix and change attractions as the tour goes on. I can also accommodate the experience for different dietary restrictions.
