“We love the magical atmosphere of this serene Loch. It's the second largest loch in Scotland - world famous because of the many alleged sighting of the legendary Loch Ness monster. Also take a boat trip to Urquhart Castle. Approximately 37 kilometres (23 miles) southwest of Inverness - well worth a trip.”
“Good beers and food the inn is situated at the head of Loch Ness with the most iconic view of Loch Ness. Used in movies, adverts, paintings there are also great walks along the beach and follow the river round to see Aldourie Castle ( which is an upscale hotel now) , very charming with fairy castle turrets.”
“The Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition opened over 30 years ago, it features 17 language translations and 11 language narrations. Now a hi-tech multi-media presentation leads you through 7 themed areas and 500 million years of history, natural mystery and legend revealing the unique environment of Loch Ness and the famous Nessie legend ... a perfect addition to a day trip from #RushyglenCottages”
“Because the Venison Stornoway main course dish is amazing! The warm chocolate torte for pudding is delicious. Over 500 Whiskies to choose from, you will definitely see Nessie after trying a few of those! ”
“The Falls of Foyers drop 165 feet into a spectacular gorge. You can walk from Elmbank to the gorge, the path to the falls follows the river upstream and provides some incredible views. The climb to the falls is steep and takes around 30 minutes from Elmbank. If you continue up the path after you've seen the falls you'll reach the Waterfall Café.”
“Great food and some beautiful local crafts for sale as well as other local produce. A picturesque setting, there's a waterfall on the other side of the road and some lovely animals around the log cabin style café, we often see highland cows here!”
