“If you want high-quality products that Morrison's don't have you might want to try Waitrose. It is not the nearest supermarket but they have things that you won't find everywhere so if you are passing by you should drop in.”

“Scots LOVE a good cu of tea, and a few places offer more variety than Tchai-Ovna. This charming, slightly peculiar little tea shop is housed in a former 19th century stables, tucked into a cobbled lane in the city’s west end. In addition to dozens of tasty leaf tea, they serve delicious vegan and vegetarian food and also host live music three to four times a week... ”

“The Burrell is a lovely collection of objects, housed in a beautiful building, set amidst lovely woodland and parkland. It's a bit difficult to get to from the West End, but it's worth it. If the weather's good it's worth also spending time in the surrounding Pollok Country Park.”

“One of my favourite food places in the city, the restaurant downstairs is great for breakfast or brunch, but book ahead. The theme here is Modern Scottish. The Bar upstairs has tables which are unreserved, a great place to grab a bite to eat and some excellent cocktails, always a cracking atmosphere on a weekend. Another place I would describe as a Glasgow Institution.”
