“At a corner just in front of Santo Spirito church. Very good Tuscan food. Down to earth, hospitable place, genuine tuscan food (try "peposo", if you like to eat meat! very typical Florentine veal stewed with pepper, maybe a bit wintery, but wonderful) ”
“The piazza of Santa Croce is in a little neighborhood of its own in the center of Florence worth a visit. The basilica of Santa Croce is an important spot to visit as the burial place of many famous historic Florentine figures like Michelangelo and Galileo Galilei.”
“The complicated iconography of the garden is embodied in the brooding statue of "Appennino" (1579-1580), a colossal sculpture by Giambologna, which originally seemed to emerge from the vaulted rockwork niche that once surrounded him. Multiple grottoes with water-driven automata, a water organ, surprise jets that drenched visitors' finery when the fontanieri opened secret spigots, offered striking juxtapositions of Art with imitations of rugged Nature. ”
“Florence is buzzing city lifestyle, art and streetart, tradition, churches, shopping, full of life and sights. And also calm gardens, beautiful nature and atmospheric piazzas and cafés. What everybody want to see - for good reasons: Duomo Piazza della Signoria Uffizi Ponte Vecchio Palazzo Pitti Santa Croce What we think you should see, too: Galleria dell’Accademia Galileo Museum Mercato di San Lorenzo Boboli Garden Piazzale Michelangelo and San Miniato a Monte Water terraces and Giardino delle rose”
“The Basilica of San Lorenzo is one of the main Catholic places of worship in Florence, located in the square of the same name in the historic center of the city. It is one of the churches that compete for the title of the oldest in the city and has the dignity of a minor basilica.”
