Science Museum
“It's FREE! The Air and Space on the Mall is one of the best museums in the world! Some of the most important airplanes and rockets in history are located here and the movies and educational opportunities are among the best anywhere. It is almost always crowded so it is smart to hit it early before the crowds get there as the day progresses. ”

Zoo
“Smithsonian’s National Zoo is hosting a Dino Summer of prehistoric proportions. The DinoRoars installation, which opens Saturday and runs through Aug. 31, features animatronic dinosaurs positioned throughout the Zoo, from a baby stegosaurus to a fully grown tyrannosaurus rex. Take your own safari to see these jaw-dropping creatures move and roar. See below for the corresponding theater show at the Zoo.”

Capitol Building
“It's FREE! There is really no need for reservations ahead of time, they do have two sections one for people with and one without, it moves at a steady pace. You can not walk around and explore on your own, you must be with the capital tour person. You are not allowed to bring in any food or drinks that include water! You can take in an empty water bottle and fill it up inside. The tour is about 20 min and it is very crowded. The capital cafe is awesome! It’s pretty big with good food, good price. ”

“It's Free to enter and very family friendly. Easy to navigate and easy to understand displays. Everything is accessible by ramp so very stroller and wheelchair friendly as well. They also bring in experts sometimes to speak at different exhibits. A true must see. And a nice break from the weather! Cafe was awesome.”

Library
“ Not sure why it is being labeled as a library, but getting into the White House is only accessible through tours, which can be registered for online. However, if visitors would like to see the president’s residence from the outside, then it’s an easy walk down Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 15th St. NW and 17th St. NW. There, parties can take pictures with the White House in the backdrop and scream obscenities at, or praises for, Trump through the fence! ”

“The National Portrait Gallery honors the centennial of the ratification of the 19th Amendment with this highly anticipated exhibit. You’ll learn about the radical women that fought slavery, the women activists of the late 1800s, the “New Woman” of the 20th century and the relentless suffragists of the 1910s through a series of portraits, cultural artifacts and biographies. The exhibit will also examine the struggles that minority women still face today, 100 years after the 19th Amendment passed. Find even more ways to celebrate the achievements of women in DC.”
