유적지
“Built by the Dutch East India Company between 1666 and 1679, the Castle is the oldest existing colonial building in South Africa. It replaced an older fort called the Fort de Goede Hoop which was constructed from clay and timber and built by Jan van Riebeeck upon his arrival at the Cape of Good Hope in 1652. The purpose of the Dutch settlement in the Cape was to act as a replenishment station for ships passing the treacherous coast around the Cape on long voyages between the Netherlands and the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia).”

Point of Interest
“An absolute MUST, you have to take a slow drive along Chapman's Peak Drive and stop at all the lookout points. There is a toll to drive the route if you want to go all the way through to the most popular lookout point, but it's worth it, just pay it. You do have to pay the fee both ways, unfortunately, but still worth it. If you're on a budget, just say you're going to a lookout point and then coming back, then it's for free (or so that was the case when I last drove there). Pack a picnic and take a break at one of the popular picnic spots. Please be careful if you plan to hike up the mountain, there has been a criminal element lurking there.”
