“Recoleta is a traditional neighborhood in BA, that has many places to sight see, ranging from the National Museum of Art, the park and its hippie fair during the weekends, the Borges Cultural Center with its many exhibitions, the traditional Biela Cafe where Borges used to meet with his colleagues (which is in front of one of the oldest trees in town), the cemetery, the 'Our Lady of Pilar' colonial church, its many cafes and even a cinema center where many film festivals are held. The view from Recoleta is very pretty as it is strategically located. The Recoleta cemetery is famous due to its tradition (https://turismo.buenosaires.gob.ar/en/otros-establecimientos/recoleta-cemetery) There is a very fun application you can download to use to visit the cemetery while you are onsite or back at home.”

“Along with it's 'sister' La Poesia, this is one of two traditional restaurants, very typical of old Buenos Aires. Having the same owner, they both have the same varied menu, including burgers, pastas, salads, sandwiches and some very good sharing platters (‘picadas’) . Both have a great atmosphere and interesting antique/vintage décor, without being super ‘touristy.’ Try a craft beer accompanied by a traditional ‘picada.’ A great option any time of day.”

Soccer Stadium
“The Estadio Monumental is the home of Club Atlético River Plate, one of Argentina's two most popular football (soccer) clubs. It is one of the most important in South America, and, with a capacity of 76,000, it's the biggest in Argentina. It hosts most of Argentina's international home matches and has also been the venue for performances by international singers and bands. Located in the neighborhood of Nuñez, the stadium opened in 1938 and was enlarged in 1978 when Argentina hosted (and won) the World Cup. River Plate also has one of the largest sports museums in the world - 3,500 meters squared - with installations detailing the history of the club, including a 360º audiovisual spectacle.”
