“In the heart of El Raval, the MACBA has been offering top-notch curation of contemporary art for more than 20 years. Its permanent collection numbers more than 5,000 works from some of the biggest names in the art world. The museum is also great at scheduling seminars that focus on contemporary art and its relevance to other disciplines. Be sure and visit its substantial archive directly across the square, which is full of skaters grinding around in a performance art all their own.”

“Visit Camp Nou, the home of FC Barcelona for a game. When you have a ticket for a game, you can reach the stadium in about 45 minutes of walking distance. If you couldn't get a ticket, you can follow the match results in real time, watching checking the scoreboard panel right from our garden. Or get the Camp Nou experience with a Tour & Museum ticket to visit the legendary stadium. “ This is a top quality museum that is an absolute must for science lovers. Particularly remarkable is its astonishingly realistic ‘Flooded Forest’, a replica of the amazonian rainforest of Pará, Brazil that includes more than 100 species of animals and plants. Also recommended are its planetarium and its popular Toca Toca (‘Touch, touch’), where visitors are allowed to touch certain plants and animals under staff supervision.”

“If you are into boats, you will enjoy this museum. I personally prefer to frequent their cafe which is located on the "backside" of the main museum entrance. Enjoy a coffee or drink in a sunken cobblestone courtyard complete with a small fountain, fish, and orange trees. A lovely place to be cool in the hot summer months here, and a great place to read. They close at 8, so a good spot to visit for a late afternoon or pre-dinner drink. ”
