A simple, backpacker-style room, bright colours and a door into the garden. These rooms are for those wishing simply for a place to lay their head. The real adventure and beauty exist outside the room in the cloud forest and the nearby rivers. This room has no view as our neighbour's house is built very close so has modest natural light from the skylight. The room is mostly used by those on a budget, but despite it being simple we believe it is comfy and can provide travellers with a place to stay as they explore the surroundings in this beautiful valley.

숙소
We're a homestay option a short trip from Machu Picchu and a great place to start or end your journey to/from the Inca Ruins.

We're open again after a heavy rainy season and we're delighted that airbnb has already sent us some lovely guests. The renovations we're doing on the house are almost done and the great thing is we now have a HOT SHOWER! We're very excited.

This room is usually a triple. It set in the same beautiful, tropical wilderness that is our tiny village home.We are a few hours walk from Machu Picchu and a perfect alternative to the busy tours. Home-cooked food, our own freshly-roasted organic coffee and a setting you won't forget. Comfy beds, beautiful loca walks, two rivers to bathe in and the chance to unwind before or after your main tours.

A stay with us is a rare and individual experience of Peruvian family life in the countryside where most people make their living from agriculture. We are nestled down by the river in a stunning valley with waterfalls and tributaries winding their way through the tropical vegetation. We have optional workshops such as coffee and cocoa roasting for you to take away some of your own organic presents for friends and family; and there is the chance to take local walks and visit our farm and see how locals experience this landscape.

Essentially, a stay with us is what you want it to be. We may just be a convenient stopping-off point or perhaps a chance for you to experience living in a place cut-off from the main arteries of Peruvian tourism. Whatever your reasons for visiting we're sure you'll love it here.

Transport in our area isn't the greatest, but there are passing taxis and Santa Teresa can be reached on foot during dry season, along the riverbank.

게스트 이용 가능 공간/시설
Access to main house, shared common room and bathroom from room. Gardens, dining room, patio and the forest beyond.

기타 주의사항
We're farmers so sometimes we're not at the house and we don't always have a chance to get to internet to check emails. We have on occasion found people waiting for us at the house after a day on the farm and luckily everyone has been wonderful about it, but we do ask you to make sure you let us know your rough time of arrival so we're there to meet you :)

Our area is really what's left of a once thriving community devastated by floods in 1998 and 2010. It's remote, peaceful, full of tropical plants and a real change for most of our guests. We have few neighbours but a lot of lovely things to see, nice walks and the opportunity to switch off from the world (no phone or internet).

Please note that since 2016 our guests have been welcomed and attended by Tatiana's family as she and Andrew moved back to the UK. Hi I'm Andrew, the co-owner of Yellow River. Our family home is open to all visitors, my wife is Peruvian and her family has farmed these valleys for generations. We grow coffee, chocolate and a lot of fruit so the food is amazing and you'll not believe how green everything is. The price of your room here on airbnb includes a delicious home-cooked dinner and an equally delicious breakfast. We have a few listings with different bed configurations, all of which share a bathroom. We're not your typical tourist hotel. We are on the way to Machu Picchu and more and more tourists are avoiding the crowds and the trains and doing it themselves. Get there in style, relax, experience the real Peru that the majority of people never get to see. I love this area because the pace of life is slower, the landscape is awe-inspiring and every day brings something new. I had never tried coffee before living in Peru and I ended up growing it! From June 2016 it was my wife's sister Svetlana who received our guests for a while as we returned to the UK with our daughter. Since then, things have changed again and now it is Gueidar (my brother-in-law) and Olga and Angel (my parents-in-law) who meet our guests and who will help you to your room. Emory, Tatiana's brother is also usually on hand to help out. We have always taken a lot of pride in giving time to our guests and talking with them about life in this pretty valley. It was with great sadness that we had to return to the UK. However, guests can still come and stay, experience the magic of this place and take a break from the crowds. Whilst we won't be there to enjoy it with you, our home is yours to enjoy, with Tatiana's parents offering excellent home-cooked meals and you're always welcome to go and see the farm at any time. We've become a more classic airbnb host and less hands-on, but we hope you still check us out and get to see what we have to offer. The new backpacker rooms (4 and 5) are priced without meals, but the prices for the main rooms include dinner and breakfast. Please note, whilst we are near Machu Picchu it is hard to do a day trip from us to the ruins. We recommend people stay with us before or after their visit to Machu Picchu to avoid an unnecessary rush or tiring day of travel and walking. It's best to spend the night in Aguas Calientes before your day at the ruins so you can get up early and be one of the first through the gates. We love airbnb and hope you find the time to visit the family here at Yellow River Quellomayo.

We are always somewhere near and love to chat but we're equally aware that some people want to relax and just read without being disturbed. We're happy to be as visible or invisible as you want and there's plenty of space if that's what you need. Just let us know :)
