If you like sightseeing or floating, Windstone House is within 45 minutes to many springs and river access. Montauck State park is about 30 minutes away where you can enjoy fresh trout at their restaurant.
Houston also has a nice park and walking trail or if flea marketing is your thing there is some of that also. Come and unwind.
