The upstairs area also has a loft, king bedroom overlooking the living area below. This spacious bedroom has air-conditioning, and a large privacy roller blind that shuts out the extraneous light as well. There is also a large, central bathroom with a large bath, separate shower; all with views to the city skyscrapers nearby.

Bathed in natural light, this quality warehouse conversion has a downstairs living & dining area with a reverse-cycle split system air-conditioning system. There is a large stone kitchen with breakfast bar, and lots of bench and storage space.

There is also a Euro laundry on the same level, and a security garage on the ground floor.

Fitzroy Converted Warehouse Penthouse is located in the former MacRobertson Chocolate Factory. This was a confectionery company founded in 1880 by Macpherson Robertson and operated by his family in Fitzroy, Melbourne until 1967 when it was sold to Cadbury. This building was just one of fifteen, purpose-built factories, spread over eight blocks in Fitzroy.

It is only a very short stroll to the trams, and is surrounded by bustling Smith, Johnstone and Brunswick Streets, with their cafes, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and wine bars, and the Eastern Freeway access is only a kilometre away.

All tea, coffee, toiletries, washing and cleaning products and other welcome supplies can be found in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. You will need to purchase more of these consumables if you need them for the rest of your stay.

Getting There
It's easy to get to Fabulous Fitzroy Converted Warehouse. From the airport, the easiest and quickest way is to just take a taxi, Uber or Ola, or you can hop on the Skybus to Southern Cross Station. From there, it's a short walk to the tram stop on Bouke St and a 20-minute tram ride to Rose St on the 86 tram, and Fabulous Fitzroy Converted Warehouse is less than 200m away.

Arrivals between 6:00 am and 9:30 am: $25.00

On check in you will be asked to:
• provide the credit card used for the booking
• provide the matching photo ID
• sign a registration form confirming the receipt of remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions; including the authorisation for StayCentral to use the security deposit held by us, or on the relevant credit card as payment for any expenses as described in the above Terms.

Important notice: The name on the photo ID and credit card should match the name of the person on the booking. The credit card should be the same that was used to pay for your booking. Please ask us about this if it may not be possible.

SECURITY BOND
We require a minimum security bond of $600, which increases for pet stays, very long stays and bookings on the day of arrival. The bond will be pre-authorised or charged to your credit card up to seven days before your arrival and released after your departure (subject to damage check). Please enquire with us for more details before making a booking.

I have owned two other service businesses since 1998. I started StayCentral with one apartment in 2005, and now manage multiple properties in many different locations in inner Melbourne. Like many of my guests, I love to travel; both overseas to places like the Mulu Caves in Borneo, ancient cities (in many old countries), Antarctica & Alaska, Torres del Paine, and colourful markets in amazing places like Pha Long in Vietnam, Jaisalmer in India, & La Paz in Bolivia. I also love short domestic trips for weekends away just to relax. It means I get to be on the other side of the counter, and experience how other people look after their guests: and I take their good ideas back with me. (My manager, Max, has also travelled from afar to be here by the way, and he can also speak with our guests in Russian and Ukranian). I even worked as a part-time tourist guide in Melbourne for a couple of years, and really enjoyed the interactions with the tourists off the huge cruise liners that appear in Melbourne each spring and summer. I have tried to extend this experience into my accommodation business here at home, where I really love assisting people with their stays. You only need to read the 800 plus reviews on Airbnb, Trip advisor, Goo gle, and on my own StayCentral website to realise how much our guests enjoy our apartments, and the way we look after them. I do love living in Melbourne. It enjoys a unique place in Australia. It is often described as the cultural, business, shopping and sporting capital of the country. The restaurants and cafes in Melbourne are amongst the best in the world. I love living in an urban village amongst these, and all the other everyday shops; and jumping on a tram and avoiding the hassles of traffic. It is a city of great opportunity, experiences, events and lifestyle that can be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike; and I really enjoy facilitating our guests' stays here.
