Built in the 1930s, this downtown craftsman cottage was completely renovated in 2017 and is located in Montgomery's historic Capitol Height's neighborhood in the heart of the city!

숙소
Completely renovated in 2017, our Magnolia House offers the coziness and intimacy of an older home while also providing the comfort of newer construction! The house sits on a main street to downtown Montgomery and has plentiful windows and a large front porch offering great views of the street and homes around it.

Our guests have private access to the entire house: three comfortable bedrooms, a cozy living room, a spacious dining room, a new in-house washer and dryer, and a fully updated kitchen and bathroom. Guests can find a luxurious queen-size bed in bedroom #1, a comfortable full-size bed in bedroom #2, and two cozy twin beds in bedroom #3. The house also has a Smart TV with basic cable, but guests are welcome to access any additional apps that they have. A coffee maker with coffee, cream, and sugar are available in the kitchen, and a broad assortment of books and games can be found in the built-in shelves in the hallway. Off street parking is available for guests in the driveway and there is also a privacy fence around the backyard to make it easier for children to safely play outside.

This home is in the perfect location for those wanting to explore downtown Montgomery, and it is our goal to make your stay as inviting, cozy, and comfortable as possible.

호스팅 지역

몽고메리(Montgomery), 앨라배마, 미국

Just four blocks from Cramtom Bowl, we're approximately a mile and a half from the entertainment district, "The Alley," National Memorial for Peace and Justice, Civil Rights Memorial, and many other historical sites. We're close to the Biscuits stadium and Maxwell and Gunter Air Force Bases. On the main artery to downtown, we're very accessible by interstate. Madison Avenue is a main neighborhood street leading into downtown Montgomery and can be noisy at times, but we live around the corner and have had no problems with the street noise.

Hi! My husband, Bill, and I love traveling (especially to National Parks), spending time with our family, and hosting guests! Bill is from Buffalo, New York and graduated from Syracuse with a degree in forestry (hence our infatuation with National Parks). He moved to my hometown of Cullman, Alabama to work for the Department of Labor 35+ years ago. Ironically, on the night we met, Bill was actually driving in circles around my small town trying to find the place he was to meet a blind date. Unable to find the meet-up point, Bill spotted me standing outside of my church. I saw him drive by the church three times before he stopped and walked in. We wound up going out to eat at the only restaurant in town at the time (Pizza Hut, believe it or not) and quickly fell in love. Bill and I eventually moved to Montgomery, had three children (and now four grandchildren), where I started a daycare and he eventually retired from the state and started a construction company. Though we were both born and raised elsewhere, Montgomery has become our home. Through our construction company here, we have had the opportunity to work for people who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, who went to church with Rosa Parks, and even for Governor George Wallace himself (this was in his old age; after he apologized for his role in the Civil Rights Movement). Once being the capital of the Confederacy and now known as the city that kick-started the Civil Rights Movement, Montgomery was voted in 2014 as the Best Historic City in the U.S. by USA Today. As complex as its history is, we are thankful to be able to offer a place for guests to stay as they explore Montgomery's past and present!
