Our architect said, “this is NOT a garage, it’s a Garden Folly!” Our Guest House has a bird’s eye view of the rose covered pecan tree and a vista of the marsh and the Wappoo Creek. When we rebuilt our 1930's garage we saved all the beaded siding and pine floor. My husband enjoyed incorporating many design elements and creative ideas. It was quickly becoming the Taj Garage. We decided it was just the kind of property we enjoy when we travel, so, Voila! we decided to share it with you!

Our Guest House is 16 steps up and has a small kitchenette with microwave, coffee pot, fridge and bar sink. Coffee, tea, fruit, pastries and other goodies are for you to enjoy. You can sit on the balcony and enjoy your morning tea. Private bath with shower. The window seat is a great reading spot or to curl up for an afternoon nap. When the moonlight shines trough the clerestory windows, settle down in a comfy queen sized bed. Sleep tight!

Our lovely neighborhood is just around the corner from casual restaurants and and Earth Fare grocery. A ten minute walk. It’s also a pleasant 10 minute walk to the boat landing on the Wappoo Creek, the IntraCoastal Waterway. You can launch your kayaks or paddleboards here. There are picnic tables to sit and watch the large boats maneuver through the draw bridge.

You will find us watering or weeding in the garden we love most afternoons. We are available to answer questions and make suggestions to enjoy our beautiful city. Bill’s time with the City of Charleston and his involvement for many years with the Board of Architectural Review gives him a great perspective for what makes our city so unique. For many years I’ve been a Registered Tour Guide showing visitors the history and loveliness of Charleston. (Our daughter in law is such an interesting and knowledgeable guide and gives regularly scheduled walking tours every day.)
