This suite is at the head of the steps to the pool.
숙소 You are invited to experience Horizon Guest House, an elegant, exclusive resort situated on over 40 acres of sloping pasture lands (1,100 ft. elevation) on the side of Mauna Loa. We are on the Kona Coast, surrounded by McCandless Ranch, (15,000 acres) ensuring the most in privacy and tranquility.
Come and experience the warm ocean breezes during the day and the cool breezes off the slopes of Mauna Loa during the night (yes, it switches direction twice each day). Enjoy the magnificent panoramic view from every part of the resort, including the custom designed "Infinity Edge" swimming pool and built in Jacuzzi Hot Tub.
Location We are in Honaunau, the same general area as Kealakekua Bay (Captain Cook's monument) and Pu`uhonua O'Honaunau, also known as 'Place of Refuge'. Both bays are now Federal Marine Preserves and protected from fishing of any kind. Click here to view our location on a bigger map, opens in new window.
Today people come here, all year around, and from around the world to snorkel, and dive because of the fabulous beauty of the coral and wide variety of fish, including Moorish Idols, tangs, triggerfish, trumpetfish, parrotfish, blue stripped snapper, surgeonfish, and many more.
Here at the park, at Pu’uhonua, you’ll find a favorite entry point into the water known locally as "Two Steps" that allows even the novice diver or snorkeler to enjoy the undersea beauty by literally "stepping" into the ocean.
About our suites We have four suites Each of the suites has it's own bathroom and lanai (Hawaiian for patio). They are arranged in a staggered wing, ending in a guest utility/laundry room at the end.
All suites have their own private entry and private lanais with sweeping coastline views looking west (sunset opportunity!).
IWe've provided a refrigerator for the late-night snack (or to store those island produce treasures you discover on your driving adventures); a coffee maker for early morning "private" coffee; and a ceiling fan (although there is usually a cool, gentle, evening breeze coming down the mountain from the upper slopes of Mauna Loa).
