Come stay in Idaho paradise at the locally famous downtown adjacent CDA Lake A-frame cabin! Enjoy one of the few private lake properties with beach & docks along the beautiful northeast section of Lake Coeur d' Alene. The scenic lake drive here is easy, just 10 minutes from downtown. Your neck of the woods spans over an acre, including a hill trail to 200ft of lakefront. In addition to the cabin rental, I have 50amp RV park spaces on seperate lot & a houseboat for rent- Airbnb.com/h/cdahouseboat

Do something different than your typical stay at an average house in a packed residential neighborhood - remember you're in scenic north Idaho! The cabin property stretches from road level lake views to the private access lakefront - all yours to explore. Have a campfire with friends and family in our awesome basalt firepit area, watch eagles soar (this area boasts one of the largest bald eagle populations in America), and soak in the classic cedar-sided hot tub while soaking in amazing sunsets from the perfectly situated west facing shoreline.

"Eagle Outpost" is perfect for just about any party, from an artist's solo retreat, a romantic getaway, to group gatherings if bringing extra RV's or other sleeping arrangements (for groups beyond four persons extra charges apply, same with RV hookup fees - please inquire for more details.) With our long half circular driveway and two entry/exit points, there is plenty of parking for multiple vehicles and toys. Please note - booking just to have a "house party" is not allowed via Airbnb regulations, so if you plan for multiple guests please inquire beforehand to better describe your vacation details.

Just outside your front door you'll find the beginning of the awesome paved Centennial Trail (takes you all the way to Spokane some 25 miles away if adventurous), and just beyond that our beach and dock fronting beautiful lake Coeur d'Alene.

Being a lake property, there are seasonal water toys available for your use - a massive water trampoline with balance logs, launch pad and slide, diving board, dock slide, 2 SUP's, inflatable rafts, water noodles, 1 solo and 3 inflatable dual kayaks, three 17ft canoes, fishing poles, and more! Also enjoy the picnic table and barbecue on the docks during lake days. If adventurous, you can kayak anytime of year including winter as the lake is deep here and won't freeze.

Also available are his and her bikes and kids bikes - after all you have the Centennial Trail right across the road! Bringing young kids? - I can also provide a bike trailer if asking in advance. And having ample property, in addition to biking and lake fun, I have a variety of seasonal outdoor games - Frisbee golf, cornhole, horseshoes, tetherball - the list keeps growing. JUST ADDED - an awesome 2 seater E-scooter (see pic). Perfect for the Centennial Trail (it's not street legal), it has a 20 mile range, great for jaunts to Higgins Point or trips into town 5 miles away. It's available for a daily rental fee. I also plan to add other off-season ammeities like cross country skiis, snowshoes, and possibly electric snowbikes- all great for the Centennial Trail when snow is present. In any case I can direct you to great rental places for these items.

***PLEASE NOTE that the cabin bedroom is an open loft. It feels very private but take this into consideration if staying with others. And note the size of the cabin, it's under 600 sqft but feels very spacious thanks to the open floor plan. Also note that guests beyond two persons will need to use the closely spaced but very comfortable full sized futons in the common area ***

IMPORTANT NOTICE - the trail to lake is a little steep, about 80 feet of decline including stair sections (see pics), so please be in average physical condition (and watch the little ones) if you're taking advantage of the lake and dock. It's not too bad, I take my entire family with kids ranging in age from 2 years to 10 quite often, just be aware of it. Also there's a somewhat busy road (depending on time of day and season) out front (see in pics) before the lake trail, and no gates yet on both sides of the half circular driveway, so watch the kids and pets.

Also important - although this is a private property with no immediate neighbors, I do have 2 RV parking spaces at the south end of the property that may or may not be in use (generally I make them available only to cabin guests), as well as a houseboat moored at the docks below (seasonal from April - Oct). The property is large enough to accommodate everyone, please just be aware that you might have neighbors at times and some may chose to share the dock and beach areas with you (not the hot tub, that is for cabin guests only). This said, the beach is large and there's plenty of dock space so all should have a great time at the lake without feeling crowded. If you want total privacy please inquire as it can be arranged.

For activity lovers, north Idaho is an amazing four season playground for watersports, hiking, biking, atv riding, fishing, gem finding, hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, etc. Down-time activities include a growing list of excellent restaurants, bars, music venues, coffee houses, and a wide variety of shops. Information buffs can explore the areas rich history in forestry, mining, and transportation via some great local tours and museums. Other major attractions nearby include Silverwood theme park and the year-round Silver Rapids indoor waterpark. The possibilities are endless! UTILITIES and WiFi NOTICE - the cabin is outside city limits. Electric is provided by a major energy co, but water comes from the lake and wastewater is handled by a septic not sewer system. Water is filtered via a high-end 99.9% effective UV system, but those who are sensitive to water quality may want to bring bottled water. Food scraps and grease are not to go down drains, and given the septic system we ask that you be sensitive to TP usage, and flush no other products. So a little different than the average city house, but easy to do! As for Wi-Fi, it's currently provided by a cellular hotspot unit. They are not known to be the most reliable, especially for streaming high resolution video. I am working on securing satellite internet and/or dish TV, so this will change soon, but for now if you can't live without channels like Netflix you may be disappointed. There is an antenna for local TV, and a large DVD library (both kids and adult) so you won't be without video, plus an Xbox 360. Surfing the web and apps work just fine all the time. Also some guests can use their own smartphone wifi hotspots to get a better video stream.

PET NOTICE - We are dog friendly, but ALL dogs still require pre-approval, and come with rules and and are subject to an added fee. ALL other pets please inquire. No cats, sorry :(
