My name is Susan but have always gone by Susie. I am married to Dean, the greatest guy, adventure seeker and hardest worker I have ever met. We were married in 1986 in Elgin, IL and then moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1988. My education is in Nursing and Dean in Construction Engineering. We have 3 amazing kids. I had the privilege to stay home and homeschool them from birth through high school which gave us freedom to nurture their natural bent and pursue many adventures. As a family, we took a year to build our own home, "pounding every nail" as we describe it. With the kids grown into adulthood and owning their own homes, we now have this beautiful place to share with others ....we call it "The Schifferer Ranch". Over the years, We have shared our home with 25 guest of all ages, . We enjoy making our home your home. Dean and I love to explore and experience God's creation. We have hiked, camped and biked (motorcycle) extensively throughout the backroads of AZ. We also love boating the lakes of AZ; a relaxing/moving experience like none other. One thing unique about AZ is you can be water skiing and snow skiing in the same day within 2 to 3 hours. We believe life is about relationships. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing our beautiful sanctuary with others.
