Bohemian Sunset Queen 1/2 Bath Room at Vacationhouse. Boutique lodging in the Hudson Valley. 3 other rooms are offered, each with a distinct style. The décor mixes many cultures and is vibrant with color with a Bohemian Flair. Due to covid breakfast is not currently offered. Large rooms and entertaining décor make for a great place to rest after a long day enjoying all the Hudson Valley has to offer.

VacationHouse is a 1932 Colonial with all the charm of its period yet, fully renovated to accommodate all the modern conveniences. Oversized 18x15' room with my handmade touches. Vintage Sari's for Curtains, Designer or Handmade linens, Private 1/2 bath w/vanity en suite. Full shared bathe with steamy shower in hall. VacationHouse is centrally located between The City of Kingston & Woodstock, NY exits 19 and New Paltz exit 18, directly across from the Headless Horseman in the beautiful Hudson Valley. (Headless Horseman is the beautifully designed #1 Haunted House in America) Door code will be given at check-in so you can have free access to home. Contact me for any special needs.

VacationHouse is in a very safe mixed neighborhood. From a old farmhouse & barns next door to the #1 Haunted House in America across the street. El Paso Winery is down the block for an afternoon wine tasting. There are many Parks, hiking trails wineries and festivals for fun all summer long. The city of Kingston Stockade District, Rondout Waterfront and the events in Woodstock are just to the North and New Paltz is just to our south. I simply go up to the park up block and walk along the Hudson.

Hi! I'm Jean and I am excited to be your host. I am a hat and leather goods designer. I found this great old house that had been vacant for years and saw it as a challenge for a space to share our love of cooking (my son is a chef and is a guest chef from time to time) my enjoyment of making things for home décor and having a great studio space. I never stop moving and am making something most moments of my life. This space will be my canvas for years to come and evolve with my personality over time. I have four rooms and share the things we have collected over the years. When I was a Grown up, I ran production for a Dress house on 7th Avenue . In that position, I was able to spend years traveling the world. I have settled right here in the beautiful Hudson Valley and Love it!!! We are very casual here. Friends see me as a hippy chic. My guests have seen me as being everything from a surrogate mom (my greatest role as I have seen it all) ,completely invisible, or a friend. I try to meet the contact level that a guest wants. I look forward to making great food and always appreciate talking about food and constructive critiques!
