This is a light room with a double-bed and two windows looking out onto the gardens. This room is one of three which share an internal living area and a shared bathroom. The building is surrounded by trees and other vegetation and is a twenty metre walk from the main house through the palms, oranges, bananas and other tropical plants. Each room has its own private entrance and a simple shelf unit for your belongings.

숙소
Hi there, we're a homestay option a few hours from machu Picchu and a great place to start or end your journey to the Inca Ruins.

Room 4 is for 1 or 2 people (couple) and is private. It has a double bed in it but if you're not sharing with that special person then we have other rooms available. This room is a little cheaper than the others as it doesn't have a window, but all of our guests spend most of their time outdoors so we hope you also enjoy your stay. The bathroom for this room and room 5 (our triple) is next to the main house and has a hot shower, it's not far at all and sits under an orange tree.

Most people spend their time exploring. Hammocks, two rivers, our farm to explore, roast your own coffee or chocolate. Eat with the family, speak some Spanish and all a few hours walk from Machu Picchu. The price of your room includes Dinner, bed and breakfast. We have optional coffee and chocolate roasting workshops for those who are interested.

We're constantly renovating and upgrading our garden and facilities. Recently we added a new grill up at the main house and we're about to start work on a new toilet block right next to the original guest rooms. The plunge pool still hasn't happened....we'll get there eventually.

A stay with us is a rare and individual experience of Peruvian family life in the countryside where most people make their living from agriculture. We are nestled down by the river in a stunning valley with waterfalls and tributaries winding their way through the tropical vegetation. We have optional workshops such as coffee and cocoa roasting for you to take away some of your own organic presents for friends and family; and there is the chance to take local walks and visit our farm and see how locals experience this landscape.

Essentially, a stay with us is what you want it to be. We may just be a convenient stopping-off point or perhaps a chance for you to experience living in a place cut-off from the main arteries of Peruvian tourism. Whatever your reasons for visiting we're sure you'll love it here.

The main house, the patio areas, the gardens, the kitchen. We're an open house really, we hope you feel comfortable during your stay with us.

기타 주의사항
We're not a hotel, our accommodation is comfortable and unique and we're surrounded by the forest and wildlife. There are dogs, chickens, ducks and other livestock in and around the village and there is only one tiny shop. A stay with us is definitely to escape the crowds and unplug for a while.

My wife was born in this town and it has undergone some huge changes in the past few decades. Floods have destroyed most of the town, leaving only our area and a few houses. The old town lies on the cliffs above the river and it's an interesting walk down by the shore. The family has lived and farmed here for generations so there's a lot of local knowledge and we're happy to share what we know with our guests.

Please note that since 2016 our guests have been welcomed and attended by Tatiana's family as she and Andrew moved back to the UK. Hi I'm Andrew, the co-owner of Yellow River. Our family home is open to all visitors, my wife is Peruvian and her family has farmed these valleys for generations. We grow coffee, chocolate and a lot of fruit so the food is amazing and you'll not believe how green everything is. The price of your room here on airbnb includes a delicious home-cooked dinner and an equally delicious breakfast. We have a few listings with different bed configurations, all of which share a bathroom. We're not your typical tourist hotel. We are on the way to Machu Picchu and more and more tourists are avoiding the crowds and the trains and doing it themselves. Get there in style, relax, experience the real Peru that the majority of people never get to see. I love this area because the pace of life is slower, the landscape is awe-inspiring and every day brings something new. I had never tried coffee before living in Peru and I ended up growing it! From June 2016 it was my wife's sister Svetlana who received our guests for a while as we returned to the UK with our daughter. Since then, things have changed again and now it is Gueidar (my brother-in-law) and Olga and Angel (my parents-in-law) who meet our guests and who will help you to your room. Emory, Tatiana's brother is also usually on hand to help out. We have always taken a lot of pride in giving time to our guests and talking with them about life in this pretty valley. It was with great sadness that we had to return to the UK. However, guests can still come and stay, experience the magic of this place and take a break from the crowds. Whilst we won't be there to enjoy it with you, our home is yours to enjoy, with Tatiana's parents offering excellent home-cooked meals and you're always welcome to go and see the farm at any time. We've become a more classic airbnb host and less hands-on, but we hope you still check us out and get to see what we have to offer. The new backpacker rooms (4 and 5) are priced without meals, but the prices for the main rooms include dinner and breakfast. Please note, whilst we are near Machu Picchu it is hard to do a day trip from us to the ruins. We recommend people stay with us before or after their visit to Machu Picchu to avoid an unnecessary rush or tiring day of travel and walking. It's best to spend the night in Aguas Calientes before your day at the ruins so you can get up early and be one of the first through the gates. We love airbnb and hope you find the time to visit the family here at Yellow River Quellomayo.

We live here too so we're around to help you out if you wish but we won't impose if you feel like doing your own thing. We eat with our guests and often end up in the kitchen before meals are ready talking. We love meeting our guests and finding out about their lives but we would always respect your privacy if you just wanted to relax on your own.
