Abbeystone Cottage is a traditional 17th Century cottage situated in a picturesque Dorset village that lies on the magnificent Jurassic Coast, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With original features such as a large fireplace and woodburner, wooden floors and beams it offers a tranquil escape to the country. Within easy walking distance of many amenities and attractions within the beautiful village it is also surrounded by stunning countryside and lies only a mile from Chesil Beach.

Abbeystone Cottage is a cosy cottage with low ceilings and a traditional yet modern feel. Downstairs is a large living room with beautiful stone fireplace, said to have been built using stone from the nearby abbey. There is a separate sunroom for dining, and a modern kitchen and downstairs bathroom with bath and shower over. Upstairs is a separate toilet and two bedrooms with pretty views over the back garden and main street. Outside is a small garden with both a grass and patio area with table and chairs for enjoying the sun! The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer but there are plenty of lovely places to eat out locally.

The village of Abbotsbury is very pretty made up entirely of traditional stone and some thatched cottages. There are a selection of tea rooms to choose from, two pubs, art galleries and a shop. There is also the amazing Abbotsbury Botanical Gardens that have a wonderful October event - The Enchanted Illuminations, and Swannery within easy walking distance as well as a children's farm. The Dorset Coastal Path is virtually on the door step and many excellent fishing spots along the beach can be found close by.
Just a short drive away (with some stunning views of the coast) you can visit the fishing harbour of West Bay with it's many places to eat and drink. Next to West Bay is the bustling market town of Bridport which has everything you would need including large supermarkets, chemists and a weekly market. In the other direction lies Weymouth with many restaurants, shops and bars and it's famous sea front.
