A stone throw away from Central station (major transport hub in Sydney), it is across from Uni of Technology (UTS) and is next to world famous Central Park bldg.

The unit is around the cnr from Kensington street and is surrounded by delectable cafés, renowned restaurants and retail shops.

This is a newly renovated modern self contained one bedroom apartment located on the penthouse. It is a few minutes walk to Central Station, the major public transport hub of Sydney, whereby the whole of Sydney and NSW can be easily accessed from. It is also just around the corner from bus stops on George Street Sydney.

The apartment is in the midst of the buzzing Sydney centre and is surrounded by rows of cafes, restaurants, shops and a wonderful hotel bar, the Old Claire. It is an excellent base for sightseeing in Sydney.

It is located in Chippendale, a suburb with interlacing streets inhabited by local innovators and is the new downtown of Sydney. Chippendale is home to creative businesses, cafes, bars, restaurants and galleries, such as Spice Alley’s Kopi-Tiam, Mekong, KYO-TO, Bar Chinois, Glider KS, KOI, Kensington Contemporary, Galerie pompom and White Rabbit Gallery.

This property offers exciting opportunity to experience the lifestyle that this emerging Sydney downtown offers.

Guests: This apartment is perfect for couples with one or two children but can accommodate up to 3 adults and 2 kids.

We limit maximum number of adults to 3.

Kitchen, Dining and Lounge: There is a relatively spacious area for the kitchen, dining and the lounge.

In the kitchen, enjoy the new fridge, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots and pans, cutlery, plates and bowls.

In the lounge, there is a double sofa bed and a single sofa bed. Enjoy the new TV and DVD player. The single sofa bed is suitable for an adult whilst the the double sofa bed is more suited to 2 young kids.

Bedroom: There is a queen bed and generous built in wardrobe.

Bedding: Queen Bed, Double Sofa Bed and Single Sofa Bed (all are pre-laid with linen)

Bathroom: Modern with a bath.

Balcony and Rooftop: There is a relatively large balcony which is accessible from the lounge and bedroom. As a bonus, there is also a 2 story court yard on the rooftop for guests to enjoy.

Laundry: There is a laundry in this building, next to the apartment on level 7 with coin operated washing machines and driers.

Parking:

There is no parking in this building. Parking is available at Haymarket or around Broadway via parking stations.

Kensington Street:

This apartment is a few steps away from Kensington Street.
Kensington Street is at the heart of Sydney’s new, emerging downtown.

It is filled with life particularly at night where people rendezvous at the cafes, bars and restaurants. Spice Alley’s Kopi-Tiam weaves into Kensington street’s architectural fabric the flavours of the Asian metropolis.

There are also exhibition spaces showcasing the foremost talents working in contemporary art and design.

The Old Claire hotel is on Kensington Street and has a wonderful bar/pub.

Spice Alley:

Lazy to cook? Guests will never go hungry as this apartment is around the corner from Spice Alley. Spice Alley is home to the Kopi-Tiam – six hawker-style diners under glowing lantern ceilings. Bordered by two small restaurants, this laneway meanders through the landscape of Asian cuisine.

Dine on Singaporean dishes at Alex Lee Kitchen, Bang Luck Thai Street Food, Old Jim Kee’s Malaysian spices and Cantonese street food from Hong Kong Diner. Book-ended by Japanese dining hall KYO-TO and Vietnamese fares from the glass-faced Viet, Spice Alley unites family recipes from across the Asian continent.

Central Park Shopping Centre

Central Park is around the corner from the apartment. It has a large grocery/supermarket (Woolworths), banks, more cafes and restaurants and stores for guests' shopping pleasure.

Other notable features:

- Broadway and Westfield Shopping Centres are a bus ride away. Catch the bus around the corner. These shopping centres are relatively large.
- Walk to Haymarket/Chinatown and Darling Harbour from this apartment.
- City tourist spots like the Sydney Harbour bridge, Opera House, the Rocks are all a short bus ride away.
- Travel to the Eastern beaches (Bondi, Coogee, Tamarama, Bronte and Clovelly beaches) using the train (stop at Bondi Junction).
- Travel to Katoomba (Three Sisters and the Blue Mountains) and other country destinations using Central train station which is walking distance from the apartment.

FAQs

1. Is there parking?

There is no parking with this apartment. However, it is very close to public transport, Central Station is only a block away and there are buses less than a minute walk.

2. Is there Wifi?

Yes we provide free Wifi to guests.

However, we cannot guarantee your connection as this could be due to your device(s) or other issues outside our control (eg telecoms provider network). However, we will do our best to assist you with your Wifi connection.

We also provide Wifi for your emails and simple internet searching and we ask guests not to use it do download large files, to use it for internet gaming, or streaming (e.g. Netflix or Youtube).

3. Can guests have an early check in or late check out?

Our standard check in time is 2pm and standard check out time is 10am. This is to allow the apartment to be cleaned for the next guests and to take into account that guests prior to your stay would not check out until 10am.

We can only accommodate early check ins if there are no guests staying the night before your check in date.

It is difficult for us to accommodate late check outs as our cleaners arrive at 10am to start cleaning the apartment for the next guests.

If you have a long haul flight and require the apartment early say from 7am, most guests actually book the night before to ensure that they can have accommodation as early as 7am.

Are there rules?

Yes. There are no pets allowed and also no smoking. There are cleaning rules, mainly around keeping the apartment clean and tidy during your stay. There is a list posted on the wall of the apartment. We ask guests to:
1.tidy up the kitchen after each major use;
2. be careful with luggage wheels and shoes (high heels) damaging the floor boards and the luggage staining and damaging the walls
3.keep the noise down particularly after 9pm
4.shut blinds in the lounge close when leaving for the day to protect the furniture from the sun
5.do not leave wet clothing or materials on the carpet

What are we are asking for in guests?

We ask you to take care of the apartment whilst you stay with us and to please observe the house rules. Before you leave, we would appreciate it if you turn off all the lights and electrical items.

Please note that this apartment is in the City centre and being centrally located is in one of the most expensive area in Sydney to rent an apartment from. The prices of a night stay in a 3/4 star hotel room are higher than our daily rate. We welcome guests who are fully aware of this fact to stay with us.

If your expectations are that you will get the service of a 4/5 star hotel with concierge and or housekeeping, this apartment would unlikely meet your expectations as this is a self contained apartment and more suited to independent traveller(s) looking for an apartment with a kitchen/dining space.
