Forest bathing is a nature experience based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku. Forest bathing is proven to reduce stress, boost your immunity and your feelings of happiness.

Catherine will provide directions to meet at a forest location. The experience starts with overview of what forest bathing is, the researched benefits, the history of Shinrin Yoku and the forest we visit.

The first half hour, Catherine will guide a mindful experience on how to use all of your senses to bring you into the experience of the forest, into your body, the present moment and slow down.

Next, I will offer you verbal invitations to explore with Mother Nature. The invitations offer guidance to explore being with the forest in a new and mindful way. You will stand, sit, touch, smell, play and enjoy the forest. For example, choose a tree and see what gifts it has to offer you. Or find a sit spot and notice what you smell. We will share afterwards what we experienced. You will repeat this 4-5 times with new invitations. At the end, we will close with a snack and final sharing round.

You will take home practices you can integrate into your daily life. Visitors say the experience opens a new way to be with nature. Participants feel restored for days.
