During this experience expect to pop on an apron and try out your baking skills, to be served breakfast and enjoy your creations, then get outside and walk it all off while being introduced to Salzburg and its extensive history! The experience will start with an experienced chef, born in Salzburg, demonstrating how to make an Apple Studel! After this you will have the opportunity to try your skills and make your own Apple Strudel in a group of up to four people. Then the chef will show you how to make a special dessert from Salzburg, called the Salzburger Nockerl, after which everyone can make their own. While your creations are baking in the oven you will be served breakfast including local bread, cheeses and sausages plus the Apple Strudel and Salzburger Nockerl made by you! After being introduced to some of Salzburg's culinary delights you will be picked up by your licensed guide, who will take you on a lovely walk through the Old Town of Salzburg, show you the highlights, tell you about its interesting history and show you a few hidden gems and unusual things dotted around the city.
I'm Kata, a licensed guide in Austria. Originally from Hungary, 8 years ago I came to Salzburg on a day trip. On that day I fell in love with this breathtakingly beautiful city, so I quit my marketing job in London, packed my bags, moved and haven't looked back since! I started guiding bike tours, first as a summer job, but I soon realised how much I enjoy showing guests around, sharing my knowledge, and getting to know new people every day. With 7 years of experience and now with my official license I can show it all to you! My co-host is Johann, who has been a chef for the past 26 years in Austria and abroad. 4 years ago he started his own cooking school where he teaches to prepare authentic Austrian dishes. He will be the one serving you breakfast and teaching you baking during this experience.
Breakfast + every food you cook will be served
Aprons and all necessary kitchen equipment will be provided.

Your culinary experience will start through a large green gate where you will enter formal caves for beer and wine storing, which were carved into the Mönchsberg mountain about 500 years ago. A very unique and atmospheric location for your baking lesson and breakfast indeed. Then our walk will take us through the narrow medieval streets, the large open squares of the Old Town, up a hill to enjoy some amazing views of the city and the Alps.
