Join me for a fun session where we'll learn about different and fun ways to create watercolor paintings! This class is designed to give tools to participants, to create images with illustration covering the basics about illustration, watercolor and how to use washes. San Francisco Watercolor & Illustration has been created and developed by Ana Aranda, children's book illustrator based in SF/Bay Area. Course breakdown Part One - Watercolor demo & exercise Two - Personal painting to apply watercolor techniques (SF nature/ SF landmarks inspired with a template or personal theme) **Classes can also be given in Spanish and French if preferred.
Ana Aranda is a children’s book illustrator, muralist, fine artist and illustration instructor living in the Bay Area. She completed her undergraduate studies in illustration in France and obtained her MFA in illustration in San Francisco, CA. In San Francisco, she has painted murals in the Mission District, for the Consulate General of Mexico, and for the prestigious de Young Museum. You can find her illustrations in picture books published in France, Italy and in the USA (“The Chupacabra Ate the Candelabra” Paulsen/Penguin Books, “Our Celebración”, Lee & Low Books). She is currently working on new picture book projects one of which she both writes and illustrates.
