I have always found large groups on guided tours to be quite boring, impersonal and off-putting. Personally, I would much rather be doing something fun and exciting in a new city. This led to me creating this puzzle tour, or treasure-hunt, whatever you wish to call it. This makes the tour exciting, competitive and fun, for people of all ages. After meeting in the centre of the city, at Vieux Port, we will embark on our adventure. All participants will be given a map, some clues and a cross-word. The aim is to find the final destination of the tour, and this will be discovered by answering the clues. I will guide the group and not leave your side, offering help, support, and a narration of the history of Marseille. The tour is not actually a competition, and team-work will be required, as the aim is to reach the final destination as a group, and not to race there as individuals. However, there will be individual prizes along the way, so as to add a competitive element to the tour. This also ensures that children enjoy the tour as much as the adults. The tour takes approximately 2.5 hours. Private tours are available on request
Hello! I'm a native English speaker living in Marseille. I am fascinated by the city and I have researched Marseille extensively. The history of Marseille is fascinating and I have obsessed over the stories and mysteries of this city. I used to work as a teacher and youth-group leader, and I believe that helping someone to learn or discover something by themselves is much more effective than just lecturing someone. As someone who loves games, adventure and any form of competition, I used to create and use games in order to learn and discover. It was this competitive nature that meant that I have always been the type of person who would ignore traditional tours, believing that I could improve on these and create my own, more adventurous and exciting, ways to explore a city. All of these aspects of my personality have led to this tour!
Not always food, but there will be small prizes along the way!
The map, clues and cross-word, to keep after the tour as a souvenir.

To describe every place that we'll visit on the tour would be giving the game away, quite literally. However, we will see most of the major tourist spots in Marseille, including Vieux Port, Fort Saint-Jean MuCEM, Cathédrale de la Major, Vieille Charité and Le Panier. Of course, Notre Dame de la Garde will be visible throughout! We will not enter these attractions, as this tour is focused on an overview of Marseille and the adventure itself.
