Learn the art of Kintsugi— the way of fixing broken porcelain with lacquer and dusted gold. During this class you will learn a brief history of kintsugi, the way of fixing broken pieces together by applying lacquer and dusted gold (not real gold metal). Normally, kintsugi takes over a month to finish, however, for this workshop, I will show you how you can finish a piece in few hours. You'll leave with your own Kintsugi piece as a souvenir. All materials are provided including a small piece of porcelain for fixing.
I am a visual artist, print maker, and ceramic artist with over 5 years of experience. My work has been exhibited worldwide. I learned kintsugi when I moved to Japan 3 years ago. Since then, I have fallen in love with this technique and its philosophy. I am happy to share with you my knowledge. Instagram/ewelello Website - ewelinaskowronska.com

This workshop will take place in my home in the central part of Tokyo, close to Roppongi. We are surrounded by trees and a shrine so I hope you will enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. The closest station is Shirokanetakanawa or Azabujuban.
