You'll take a step back in time to the Summer of '69 - The Gay Revolution is about to be televised! We'll throw you right in the thick of it at the Stonewall Inn. From the first night of rioting, to the protests that went on for days after and still continue today as we fight for full equality for the LGBTQ Community. Whether you're a member of the LGBTQ+ Community, an ally, visiting the city for the first time, or a Native New Yorker - we promise to entertain, educate and enlighten you on our trip through the West Village. From the historic Stonewall Inn we'll venture through to the village to vintage speakeasies, the home of the first African-American/Lesbian playwright to win a Tony on Broadway, to the footfalls of Manhattan's 1st PRIDE parade. You'll explore little-known alcoves where closeted stars and literary figures could rendezvous with their lovers. We'll show you both world famous architecture and underground clubs that hosted the city's elite. Hidden Keith Haring murals await you just around the corner from where PFLAG started almost 50 years ago. Soon, we will have magically traveled back to the Stonewall Inn and maybe even a fabulous, historic happy hour!
Water and snacks provided.
