We will meet at Chinchero town. (If you need transportation, I can arrange our local taxi driver to pick you up). From Chinchero we'll go to a Quechua village where we'll be welcomed by native ladies at their home. We start our experience by learning how to make an earthen oven to prepare the delicious "Huatia" (an old tradition for cooking potato during the farming season, the archaeologists found that the oldest one was cooked 8 thousand years ago!). Now is time to cook! We are using "Moraya" (an ancient technique for natural freeze dry potato to preserve it) as the main ingredient for soup. Quechua ladies will share their recipe and knowledge with you. Then, we visit the fields and see the ancient process of farming still use by Quechuas in remote places with no technology. ¡ Locals will challenge you to use a foot plow! Finally, it's time to eat!... Let's taste how we did it.
Lunch, made with organic and local products.
Digestive tea, made with local and unique fresh leaves.
All items and ingredients for cooking are included .
I was called to do philanthropy since I was a child. And I like to believe small details can be the difference in life. I know local people from this village for over 3 years, and we want to create opportunities on lifes, for their future generations. Helping and drawing one smile a day can make the difference for someone else's life. I would like to invite you to join us!!
We will enjoy the luck of being at a local Quechua Family home, on a beautiful and peaceful village surrounded by mountains and nature.
