This is a one-of-a-kind walk through the neighborhood of Dumbo with exclusive interactive experiences, including meeting local residents and workers, a hand's on culinary experience, and behind-the-scenes access to a local artists' studio. We'll do the reverse commute from Manhattan on a comfortable ferry. There we will see how this waterfront area has transformed from an industrial hub to a once abandoned and run-down area to a now revitalized hub for artists, innovators, tech companies, and photographers. As we take in the breathtaking views along old warehouses and cobblestone streets, we'll visit some of the local businesses and meet the people in the community. Get a hand's on experience at The Smile To Go, where you can help create your own pastry. Meet staff members at places like indie bookstore Powerhouse Arena and artisanal Brooklyn Roasting Company. Enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes access at a local artist's studio to meet the artist and learn about their work. Pour your own beer at one of the city's newest brewpubs and sample some of the neighborhood's great local food. ALL THE FOOD AND DRINK SAMPLES ARE INCLUDED.

We're a team of local New York tour guides who love the history and local businesses of the ever-changing Dumbo neighborhood in Brooklyn. Brian is a food blogger, Jillian is an actress, Josh is a former sports broadcaster, and Sheli is a history obsessed New York native. Together we have gone deep into the neighborhood of Dumbo and collaborate directly with the NY Times to develop this interactive tour. We've used articles as an inspiration and resource for curating this behind-the-scenes experience where you will get to meet a local artist in their studio, help create a delicious breakfast pastry, and pour your own housemade craft beer.

We'll start in Manhattan where we'll catch a commuter ferry to travel just over the river into Brooklyn. The rest of the morning will be spent discovering the neighborhood of Dumbo (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) by visiting some of the old warehouses that used to be part of the Brooklyn industrial boom of the 19th Century, meeting the people who live and work there, and visiting some of the modern day local businesses.
