This workshop is held at a private kitchen in Wachigai. After the workshop, a special lunch with desserts will be served at a private room. Those ingredients are seasonal and very rare find so please do not miss this occasion! 2-Temari Sushi Course Temari Sushi is a round Sushi, easily made by anyone, not like regular Sushi by professional Sushi Chef. It is colorful and Kawaii, and you can desolate as you like! 3-Pork Shabu-shabu Course Shabu-shabu is a hot pot boils meats and vegetables, one of a popular cooking method of Japanese cuisine, like Sukiyaki. We prepare Omachi Kurobuta Pork, raised in a natural environment in Omachi. The recipe shows special broth used for a hot pot and a variety of sauces made of local ingredients.
I was born in Nagano and love this great natural environment! Also I am a food lover who experienced different types of cuisines in different continents over years. After coming back to my hometown, I realized how unique, healthy, and tasty the food culture of Nagano is! I am here with passion to deliver this valuable and flavorful cultural experience to visitors from all over the world!

"Wachigai" is named after the house owned by one of the influential merchants in Omachi City in old days, and is more than 130 years old and maintained beautifully by the family, yet the house became empty as the time goes by.In 2005, this house revived as a restaurant "Wachigai" to serve dishes made with local ingredients inherited for years in this area.This workshop is held at a private kitchen in Wachigai.
