Let's go for a run! I'll give you tips on how to run your best marathon. We'll also discuss nutrition, hydration, weekly mileage, running form, running gear, your mental game during marathon training and during the marathon itself. All while looking at the beautiful scenery of Los Angeles while running on the trails! At this time, I am only guiding runs during specific hours -- either the early morning (6am to 9am) or late evening (6pm to 8pm) due to the extreme heat. Your safety and health is important! It gets VERY hot during the summer, so I do not recommend the trails mid-day, unless you're specifically heat training and have sufficient hydration, nutrition and experience. The morning runs are beautiful and cool. The evening sunset runs can be quite majestic. We can go at a conservative pace, depending on the terrain and your skill level. Some trails are flat; some are very hilly. I pace on average between 9 to 13 minute miles. When we are going uphill or downhill, the pace changes. The shortest trail run is a 3.75 mile loop, which is at Griffith Park. It takes about an hour or so to complete, plus time for photos. There's a 5 mile loop and a 7 mile loop at the Hollywood Sign. This is a 2 hour run. If you're an advanced runner, there are 7 mile, 12 mile and 16 mile loops in the Santa Monica Mountains, Topanga State Park and Malibu State Park respectively.

Whether you're a new runner or a veteran athlete from another part of the world, I will show you the mesmerizing nature and beauty of LA from the perspective of a seasoned trail runner and marathoner. Each trail has its own personality, feel and vistas. Griffith Park and Hollywood Sign have views of the city and Downtown Los Angeles. The trails in Santa Monica Mountains, Topanga State Park and Malibu State Park have views of the Pacific Ocean and take a bit longer to finish. They are all gorgeous and so very worth it!

If you'd like to book a more challenging run in the Santa Monica Mountains, Topanga State Park or Malibu State Park, please book a “Private Group” run. The rates are different as these runs are typically between 2 to 5 hours.
