We'll start with the biochemistry of Brewing malts, mashing and beer recipe formulation. This will be a very in-depth look at brewing on a commercial system for anyone that has wanted to know more about brewing or hoping to start a brewery of there own. We will set up for milling, Mashing, Hop utilization for bitterness, flavor and aroma on our 3BBL brewing system. You will get to see and use commercial testing equipment and learn how to use CIP cleaning systems. We will cover Yeast pitch rates, storage, fermentation and aging. You will get to learn about all aspects of running a microbrewery from start to finish. If you have ever wanted to know more about the brewing world the art and science behind the curtain this is for you. Not to mention You'll get to take some beer home too.

I am a professionally-trained brewmaster with a degree in fermentation biochemistry and brew house engineering. I have worked with over 30 breweries worldwide since 1999. I have articles in Brew your own magazine along with The Brewers Association's New Brewer magazine. We also own a brewing consulting firm. I will show you how to brew from grain to glass with the skill of a Master Brewer.
We'll be at Dog and Pony Brewing Company located in beautiful Cashmere, Central Washington, in the heart of the Cascades.
