First, we meet at Victoria Park in the city at 3pm to introduce ourselves and learn some camera basics. Then we take a short drive to Auckland City Central and practice by taking street photos and photos of buildings. We will spend 45 minutes doing this before we hop into the vehicle and drive for 15 minutes and walk for 10 minutes to a beautiful waterfall within Auckland’s suburbs. Here we will set up to take photos for 45 minutes using the tripods and I’ll give you tips on how to use your camera and take your desired photo. Next we will drive for 30 minutes and walk for 10 minutes to the summit of an extinct volcano which overlooks the city. We can take some photos of the Auckland skyline and landscape shots of the surrounding park lands. After an hour of taking photos we will take you back to the original meeting point at Victoria Park, Auckland City. All up the tour will take 4 hours and you will visit 3 different locations and learn tips on several different styles of photography, all on your own camera.
I am a wildlife and landscape photographer from Perth, Western Australia. For the last four years, I have been lucky enough to travel to unique parts of the world and practice different photography techniques. I now have photos featured in magazines, websites, and business marketing materials. Now based in Auckland NZ, I love grabbing the camera and heading out into nature to try and capture a small part of the surrounding natural beauty. I enjoy showing others tips and tricks on their camera, so they can take their own holiday photos to awe their family and friends – its easier than you think
I will provide information on photography tips which illustrate the different concepts and techniques
There will be three places we will visit: The Auckland Viaduct and City Centre; Oakley Creek Waterfall and Mt Eden Summit. We will get to see parts of the city, native bush-land and garden parks. The areas will be exposed to the weather, so prepare for wet weather
