After being outfitted with the necessary gear we will go through some instruction and get right on the ropes with a basic rappelling course. There will be safety contingencies with every rappel and exposure...so fear not, I will catch you! The point is to safely descend the canyon and provide training to the group. Canyoneering is a team sport so it is a great way to bond while safely pushing the "comfort zone" if you would like to do so.
Harness, ropes, helmets All equipment is inspected prior to activity.
There are a few options when choosing a canyon to descend. Canyoneering is largely weather dependent and the ability level of the group will dictate which canyon is appropriate. I have led these canyons multiple times, safely teaching inexperienced people the thrills of canyoneering. Option 1: Lambs Knoll, various canyons Option 2: Birch Hollow Canyon Option 3: Diana's Throne Canyon Option 4: Water Canyon
