The Jewish Community has left it´s footprint in Havana City. But specifically in Old Havana it´s unnoticed, unless you have a little help... That is what I want to give you. So, if you, like me, admire the Jewish culture and legacy, don´t miss this chance to walk into the deep Old Havana and see the scenario where the jews began their life in Cuba. We will begin in one the most stylish hotels at the present in Havana whose inspiration concept is... (guess what!)...the jewish legacy. We will be seeing what was their most picturesque commercial street and their oldest places of worship. Let´s visit some curious locations that had to do with the jewish daily life decades ago. You will see new projects in Old Havana with a sincere intention to honor the jewish presence in Cuba. We will end in El Vedado seeing the present day life of the community. (This will be also a very useful experience to contrast the restored area in Old Havana with the one that have not received any restoration at all).
I´m an all life cuban resident working as an architect since 2014. I have been working in some of the new projects in Old Havana. Also I received some postgraduate courses on theory and methods for the restoration proccess of historic buildings. I love walking and knowing my city and (specially) Old Havana as the palm of my hand and discovering it´s amazing and unnoticed places with stories to tell.
