An introduction to "throwing" a pot. I show the wheel thrown technique pottery and the "new potter" try to do it on their own. I help him to achieve the shape he is looking for...well sometimes new shapes cames up..and other goes down...hehehe...but at the end, we celebrate the craft work done with a mug of cofee.
My family have been producing wheel thrown pottery for generations. I studied art and architecture but I have always been fascinated with the creative skill of the “wheel-throwing” potter. This led me to leave the field of architecture to concentrate my artistic skills as a potter and to develop my own business. Having made my decision to change direction, I prepared myself by serving as an apprentice to my father and other skilled potters. My work in wheel-thrown pottery is recognized as artisan quality and my meticulous attention to quality is reflected in the pieces I produce.
The workshop will be at Pottery by Bruno home studio. We will have lunch at a “tasco” a typical rustic restaurant featuring local dishes.
