You'll experience Kentucky's rustic beauty while paddling the Chaplin River and see some creative art installations at a secluded Art & Nature sanctuary located 5 miles outside Kentucky's oldest town of Harrodsburg. Named Little Wing Hollow, we're nestled in the heart of the rural countryside where enchanting wildlife is often sighted. We'll take you kayaking/canoeing (and even fishing, if you like) for an hour or two and will invite you on a peaceful walk through our growing art trail in the woods. At the end of your experience, you'll will have paddled the Chaplin, learned a bit about local history and our region's diverse wildlife, and enjoyed art installations in the woods created by artists who have visited us over the past 5 years. Mother Nature can be awe inspiring and she's alive and well in Mercer County's hills, hollow, river and sky. Come unlug in the country and reset your rhythm to healthier groove. We'll show you how.
In 2013, my husband and I left life in the big city and moved to a quiet, rural property in Mercer County to simplify our lives, and so I could heal injuries from an auto accident. Living in nature not only helped my healing, but was beneficial to both of us in ways we didn't anticipate. We rediscoved our love of the outdoors and have become passionate advocates of Nature Therapy. Our mission is reconnecting folks with the natural world and giving them a welcoming place to do so. We also host camps, art events, and paddling field trips. Mother Nature is magical. Come see for yourself.

Your experience takes place on private property where we live full time. Guests have nearly 40 acres to roam and we're flexible on how you'd like to spend your time. Our homestead site dates back the 1800's and our driveway was a wagon road in pioneer days. Ancient American magazine has featured our unusual rock walls and cairns, and a few of our trees are speculated to be over 500-800 yrs old. We feel this is a sacred, healing place.
