For those looking to experience the raw attraction of Okinawa we will head to the Northern confines of the Yambaru National Park to start our day. Once we arrive I will take you to a couple of rivers and waterfalls off of the beaten path, away from the crowds. Here I will coach you on ways to better your long exposure photography. Once we have trekked the rivers we will then look to venture out to another vantage point in the North of the island from where we will endeavour to capture the raw power of the Ocean as it washes over an area of rocky coastline. Working our way back to the South we will take in additional sites of interest with the goal of reaching either Mermaid Cove or Cape Zanpa for the spectacle of the Sunset. Whilst Okinawa can, and does, have quite unpredictable weather patterns it's worthwhile taking into consideration a saying that is prevalent here; "If you don't like the weather in Okinawa, wait five minutes"! So if you do find yourself on your way to a sunset location and the skies look grey, it's worth hanging in there, as you never know what will transpire in the minutes before the tropical sun sets over this stunning island location.
I'm an Emmy Award winning wildlife cameraman now based in Okinawa. I've immersed myself in the Landscape Photography of the island since arriving here two years ago. As a professional photographer I am sponsored by certain manufacturers of photographic hardware required to execute beautiful Landscape Photographs. I specialise more in photographing the Ocean and moving bodies of water. My goal is to help you advance your long exposure techniques and show you some of the hidden gems I have photographed during my time here.

Water I prefer to shy away from sugary drinks and provide fresh water only. I will personally transport the water supplies.

Once we have met your tour will start in the Northern Jungles of Okinawa, the Yambaru National Park. From there we will trace the start our return journey along the North East of the island to stop at a particularly picturesque location just North of Ie Na Hama Beach. From there we will then return along the Western Coastline heading South. Our goal sunset location is set to be either Mermaid Grotto or Cape Zanpa depending on our progress.
