First we will take around 1-hour long scenic train ride through the picturesque valley of the Berounka river, passing by cliffs, rock formations and a glimpse of the Karlštejn castle. Afterwards we will start an approximately 16 km long walk through the Bohemian Karst. After enjoying a few nice views over the surrounding nature, you will finally get the chance to explore the cave system through an 1-hour long guided tour. After the excursion, we can have brunch together while enjoying the view over the quarries and hills. We will continue our hiking through the abandoned quarries, forrests, and on warm spring/summer days refresh in a flooded quarry with limpid water! It wouldn't be a proper trip without having a nice meal (and beer) after a job well done, therefore we will finish our memorable walk with late lunch/early dinner in a restaurant by the river of Berounka, and return to Prague.
Late lunch/early dinner. Small snack :-) We well sit down together to have a meal in a restaurant in our final destination…

I've traveled the world to finally come back to Prague, to do what I love to do. I'm a passionate traveler and nature lover. I like hiking, exploring new places and meeting new people, thus I've started taking people with me to beautiful places that even locals often don't know about. When you get tired of all Prague's sights (totally worth seeing though), join me for a day hike full of amazing views through the karst protected landscape area - Bohemian Karst - located just a couple of km west of Prague, with an excursion to caves, quarries and in summer a splash in a flooded quarry!
We will start at and come back to Prague main train station, but we will spend our day in the protected landscape area of Bohemian Karst, located some 30 km west of Prague. As you can guess from the name, it's a kartic area being a good resource of calcite, and place for mining the limestone. That's why throughout the whole protected area you can find, and you will the opportunity to see, many quarries and caves.

This is a hiking/trekking event. The trail is around 16 km long, not too diffcult, but certainly involves some ascending/descending of hills, so a decent sport condition is indeed required.
