In his online live Masterclass, Chef Gabriel Kreuther will be preparing a Chilled Cucumber and Mint soup with Alaskan King Crab, showcasing the mastery of culinary skills and techniques that have led him to his inventive and imaginative expression of classic and traditional Alsatian staples!   • Cucumber and Mint Soup (serves 6):
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped. In the case you can't find a yellow onion, feel free to use any onion.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 garlic cloves, smashed and chopped,
  • 4 large cucumbers, peeled, thinly sliced (you will need 600 grams, 1-1/2 pounds, of sliced cucumbers) preserve 1/3 of a cucumber for garnish
  • 240 milliliters (1 cup) chicken stock, water can be a substitute

He eventually moved on to his first solo venture at Atelier in The Ritz-Carlton NYC. As head chef, he received accolades from major New York food critics & major food and wine publication.

Chef Gabriel not only offers a great recipe, but he also offers invaluable tips on the technique and craft of making vegetable soup as well as on how to present it in an elegant way.

Absolutely marvelous experience with chef Gabriel. He was really friendly and personable and gave great insights into both cooking at home as well as in a restaurant. I learned a lot of techniques that I previously had not known, and I really appreciated the level of detail in the various explanations. Oh, and the dish was absolutely fantastic. I definitely wouldn’t have thought to combine cucumber soup and king crab but it really was amazing.

Maravillosa experiencia !!! El chef es muy didáctico, divertido y genera un ambiente increíble, fue como estar en su cocina. El único detalle que corregiría , es tener una cámara fija arriba de él para siempre observar lo que esta haciendo

We really enjoyed the experience. It was great to be able to cook with a 2 Michelin star chef. And on top of that, by doing the zoom in an informal setting, with a group of friends was fantastic!. I have taken lots of classes, but it is a special treat if you can cook at the same time. How many times can you cook with a Michelin star chef. ? I dont know how he can talk about his experiences, and cook at the same time, and doing it so smoothly... He made us feel super welcome. I would take another class with him ANYTIME!!!

Amazing and cozy experience. Invaluable as we felt we were literally cooking inside his kitchen. The personal anecdotes, his wife's help and even the very few mishaps made it feel very intimate and personal.
