Let’s explore the medicinal and beauty benefits of Fire Cider and Raw Apple Cider Vinegar.

Fire Cider is a tonic that is notably used as a cold & flu preventative. It’s an old folk medicine, a digestive tonic, aiding in proper digestion and to promote circulation. This vinegar based infusion gets it’s name from it’s wild combination of ingredients that includes ginger, horseradish, jalapenos balanced with lemons, rosemary, turmeric and honey.

Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is a foundation ingredient for every Kitchen Pharmacy and beauty routine. It’s live enzymatic activity benefits the body on the inside and the outside!
Everyone will get hands-on preparing the ingredients while we discuss the simplicity and benefits of vinegar infusions and variations for your herbal medicine cabinet and self- care.

First you will make 2 quarts of Fire Cider. As we cut and grate all the ingredients I will speak about their benefits. Once the Fire Cider is made we will move on to making an infusion for your skin or your hair. We will discuss the benefits of various botanical ingredients and then you can choose one to infuse in the Raw Apple Cider Vinegar to take home. Once you learn the process, you will be empowered to make more at home. Resources for RACV and botanicals, recipes and uses will be provided.

Lisa Jones is a Culinary Nutrition Educator and a private nutrition practitioner and plant-based chef. She weaves together plant medicine and seasonal foods into a daily self-care practice that is tailored to the unique needs of her clients.

For 22 years Lisa was a private chef for Mindfulness and Yoga Events for clients with Plant-Based diets and food sensitivities. After completing a certification in Nutrition at The T. Colin Campbell Center she began to work alongside her husband, Acupuncturist David Jones, to develop custom nutrition plans for every client in their practice (Visionary Healing Center) based on TCM and the energetics of food.

Lisa brings together modern science, ancient wisdom, sustainable practices and energy medicine to create nourishment and healing strategies. Fire Cider is one of her tools for health.

    You will be handling and smelling strong ingredients like horseradish and onions. Your hands will get infused with these ingredients. Your eyes may tear a little. You will be tasting tangy, but delicious, Tonics. Be prepared for strong flavors. Many find them delicious!
