This route will take us to know the origins of cacao in México at the Chontalpa region, in Tabasco.
We will visit cacao producing communities, cacao plantations, chocolate factories and other interesting projects. We will sleep in an old cacao hacienda and visit Mayan pyramids, mangroves and traditional kitchens in different municipalities.
The first day, we will arrive at Villahermosa and we will settle in the lodging, we will have a tasting of cacao drinks, we will visit the mangroves in the municipality of Paraíso and we will visit a project managed by women.
On the second day, we will visit a cacao plantation and a chocolate factory where we will make a tasting of fine chocolates, then we will visit a live cacao museum to know the whole planting and harvesting process, we will finish with a barbecue of sea cuisine.
On the third day we will visit the Mayan pyramids with a local guide and end the route with a traditional meal in the best place of Tabasco cuisine in the state.
