Starting with a short but detailed exploration of a 19th century Distillery, we move through historic and gorgeous Corktown, starting off by visiting the oldest standing church and oldest standing free school in Toronto. Next let me show you some of the finest and quaintest row housing stock in all of Toronto, dating back to the mid to late 19th century when workers and brewers inhabited the area! Next we will cover more history of the area including the warehouses, factories, distilleries, gas companies and breweries. Explore secret back alleys and laneways not listed on any maps! We will learn about hidden native burial grounds and also secret burial sites underneath modern buildings and concrete! Next it's time for a beer! I will take you to a former gigantic brewery, with an attached pub inside a gorgeous Romanesque Revival building and former hotel dating to the late 19th century. Pint included of course! From here we will head to see some hidden street art and an absolute gem nestled in south Corktown. How about a local craft beer? We visit a trendy bodega set inside a gorgeous row of heritage buildings, complete with a hidden barber shop in the basement! Need a haircut where nobody can find you? This place is so secret there aren't even any signs! From this well located final spot guests can easily and quickly return downtown!

I am one of the most respected tour guides in modern Toronto. I own and operate the highest ranked walking and history tour company in Toronto, where I offer free, paid and private walking tours throughout the year. I am a legal resident of three countries (United Kingdom, United States and Canada), and was educated in Political Science at the University of South Florida, with a degree in International Relations. I would consider myself very, very well educated in all things North America, pre-Canadian and pre-U.S history, Canadian history, early Toronto history, Canadian laws and of course present day Toronto. You are in safe hands! I take guiding and hosting very seriously and I absolutely love meeting people from all over the world and showing them all the wonders of Toronto, sharing both my and their experiences along the way!
