The experience includes making a 20 pieces pie per participant. Everyone will have the chance to create the pie of his/her preferance, e.g. a spinach pie or a potato pie or a sweet pie. The process is individual though in a friendly group, manual but not tiring and the first job is to make the dough. We will get to know the magic art of how by simple materials like flour, water, olive oil and with a unique tool, our hands, are made small and soft dough balls. Next eachone prepares the filling of the pie by mixing the ingredients provided, for example washed off with water greens or zuccini, eggs and feta cheese. The making of the pie pastry is the following step. The special moment that the dough turns into crust using the traditional rolling pin. I'll tell you how. The filling is spread over the first layers of filo pastry in the oven pan and is covered by more layers of pastry hand-made by the guests. During the hole procedure I am going to help them in ever step, so that they can achieve the best result. I am going to share with them little secrets, traditional kwnoledge and original ideas that they alone cannot discover. The experience is completed when each guest receives his/her pie in a special box. Guests may drink coffee or juice that I offer and in the end we may have a relaxed talk over the history and the evolution of pie making in Nafpaktos.
