In this experience, I would like to pair two of my favourite activities to share with you: hiking and the Wim Hof Method! Beginners to advanced, all levels are welcome. Based on the skill level and desire of the group, we will hike along the Appalachian Trail up to eight miles (variable). We have the option to make this a gentle hike along fields or dial in some elevation gain over rocky sections and boulder mazes. We will meet at a meeting spot near Boiling Springs and will carpool to the trailhead. During our hike, we’ll get some sunshine, see pretty views, wildlife, take a few snack and water breaks, learn about the wildflowers and trees, make new friends, get some exercise and breathe in the fresh air! Before, during and after our hike (based on your interest), I will teach, demonstrate, and have you try components of the Wim Hof Method, including meditation, breathing exercises, stretching/yoga, and if you're up for it, a chilling immersion (<50 °F) in the Boiling Springs bubble! The hike will be easy to moderate for people in good physical shape, but could be very challenging for people who do not exercise regularly.
Hey I'm Eric! I am very passionate about integrating in the outdoors and teaching others to tune into the environment around us. Long distance hiking has been a huge component of my lifestyle. Most recently I have returned from hiking over 2000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail (2019), spanning from Mexico to Canada. I successfully completed the entire Appalachian Trail in 2017, and did an eight day solo trek of the Collegiate Loop in the Rockies (Colorado Trail and Continental Divide Trails) in the summer of 2018. During my hiking, I follow many holistic practices including meditation, breathing exercises, and cold water immersion. The Wim Hof Method has been adopted in my life for years now, and I feel pairs nicely alongside the duration of a hike. I am a Wilderness First Responder, and your safety is the number one priority.
I will be able to provide a couple yoga mats, towels, and some additional hiking gear as needed.

The village of Boiling Springs is rich in history and as this is my hometown, I would love to share some interesting facts with you. Conveniently passing through this area is the Appalachian Trail, a 2200 mile footpath extending from Georgia to Maine. This will be our trail of choice. To button up the experience, after our hike we can take a mindful plunge into the cold springs right in the heart of this small village
