These hikes are more than just a walk in the woods. They are a chance for you to be guided into nature, ground yourself in your deepest vision, and get the guidance and support you need to make the shifts you desire in your life. Have you outgrown a relationship that no longer serves you? Are you embracing a new stage of life, but not sure where to go next? It’s time to make the journey, and give yourself the gift of insightful guidance in a beautiful environment. In the first part of the hike, we’ll practice processes to clear your mental chatter, tune in to the present moment, and open your creative channels. I’ll teach a practice, and then we’ll hike silently for about 15 - 20 minutes implementing the practice before debriefing it. In the second half, I’ll use deep listening and skillful inquiry to help you refine what you’re longing for in your current life shift, and why it matters. We’ll uncover what is blocking you, and the wisdom your blocks have for you. This will free up life energy, which will strengthen your resolve and move you toward the life you long to live. We’ll also discuss next steps to get the support you need to maintain your focus and drive into this next phase of life. The route is a loop hike to a lookout: 3 miles long, 629 ft elevation gain. Walk across lawn, through dense forest, up dirt road with valley views. Climb to viewpoint, return in forest.

I am the founder of Mindful Living, Learning, and Communication, and I have hiked the front range of Boulder and the high country since 2001. I have always harnessed nature as a healing force in my life, as well as a powerful reminder of something bigger than 'us,' and an awesome mirror to the inner life. Walking the foothills mindfully helped me recover from my mother’s death in 2001, and through many life transitions since then. I completed PassageWorks Mindful Teacher Training in 2016, after studying Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and spiritual teachers such as Thich Nhat Hanh & Tara Brach. I also trained in Empowered, Compassionate Communication to tap into your inner wisdom. In 2016, I used my PhD in education to add more educational components to mindful hiking, so people could achieve a deeper and more transformative experience

방문 장소

We'll meet at the Chautauqua Ranger Cottage, Boulder. We'll start off the beaten path, through a little known quiet dense forest. We'll go through sunny & shady patches, & smell a 'caramel' tree. I'll take you up to a special lookout where locals make chairs from the sandstone. We'll end with great views. Denver guests: Use RTD bus or Lyft to Boulder. Hikes may be fine tuned based on our conversation, including fitness level, time, & weather.
