Kundalini Yoga is a wonderful technique to calm your mind, strengthen your immune system and increase your capacity of endurance, both physically and mentally. Its main purpose lies in arousing consciousness and establishing a balance among the body, the mind, and the spirit.

The practice of Kundalini Yoga includes warm-up exercises, breathing techniques, a kriya (set of movements) followed by relaxation, and finishes with a meditation. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes, preferably in white or light tones and made of natural fibers.

The sessions will always be accompanied by music and mantras that, together with the mellifluous sound of the waves of the sea, will imbue your space with harmony.

At the end of the class, we will devote some minutes to answer questions about the yoga session and about the origins of this practice in our country; and also, why not, about some cultural aspects of Cuba and Cubans.

"Kundalini Yoga by the sea" will certainly be a unique, renewing, and very relaxing experience.

The practice of Kundalini Yoga can take place at any space where there is plenty of good energy and calm. Therefore, we have chosen an area facing the sea for our sessions, which adds an influx of tranquility, freshness and, of course, a little bit of cubanness, because Cuba is an island.

Claudia is a wonderful teacher and a lovely person. Taking this class in Havana was a unique experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in practicing yoga while in Cuba.

Claudia was very in tune spiritually. The view was beautiful as we flowed through the poses. She was very accommodating as we had to reschedule due to the rain in the morning. Also, my boyfriend's ankle injury had flared up from walking around Havana by the time we met for the class in the evening and she was very aware and ensured he had modifications and included some exercises that helped to relax him.

Claudia was a great instructor because we were all on different levels of flexibility but she chose a routine that we can all follow without it being too simple. This was a new experience for me and I really enjoyed the sound of the waves crashing while the sun set. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this experience. I’m a 65 year young grandmother. I was able to complete the entire yoga practice. Claudia is an amazing yoga teacher. The setting for the yoga practice was so beautiful! Claudia also provided me information about Kundalini yoga. The experience was very relaxing and calming.

Claudia meet us at the corner of first street and 16th where the taxi dropped us off. She had a yoga mat for each of us. We set up in a flat, cement location on the shore. She brought a speaker and played chanting music. It was a lovely location. The sun was in the sky when we started and it was dark when we ended. It was the perfect way to spend a sunset. We felt very relaxed afterwards. If you haven't done Kundalini, it is very low impact with mediation, breathing, one sun salutation, and many stretches. Claudia was delightful and speaks English very well. She helped us find transportation to get back to Centro Havana. The experience is in Mirmar, which is a suburb 20 minutes from downtown. There is not a public bathroom there, we had to ask a restaurant nearby.
